Miley Cyrus‘ Hannah Montana costar Cody Linley is facing tragedy after his older brother Chad died at age 29.

Details are scarce but Cody, 21, is torn up by the loss, RadarOnline.com reports. He took to Twitter August 8, writing, “Thanks for all the prayers and support. I appreciate everyone that has reached out to me one way or another.”
One of Cody’s famous friends — Demi Lovato — also shared support on Twitter, writing on August 10, “RIP Chad Linley.. Knew you since I was a kid.. You were family… You will be missed… Please #prayforcodylinley and his amazing family.”

The Disney world is mourning the loss of Chad Linley, Hannah Montana star Cody Linley‘s brother. Selena Gomez has joined Demi Lovato and other friends of Cody to express their sympathies at the sad and sudden death of his 29-year-old brother.
“@codylinley7 you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, I hope you guys can find strength during this…” tweeted Selena, linking to a YouTube memorial for Chad.
The details of Chad’s death are still scarce, but his friends continue to reach out to him in tribute via Facebook and Twitter.

Hannah Montana star Cody Linley’s older brother Chad sadly passed away last Saturday, and his family and friends are still mourning his loss. We spoke to a friend of the Linley family who reveals Chad had a long struggle with drugs, but says things were looking up for Chad right before he died.
“Chad struggled with partying and drugs for years, but he was doing really well before he died,” reveals our source. “He was DJ-ing and was the happiest he’d been for a long time. He was really trying to get his life on track…so this is devastating and totally unexpected. We are shocked.”
Chad was also focusing on his education, and was about to graduate from the Media Tech Institute in Houston
