Denzel Washington filming causes stir in Cape Town

In A movie starring Denzel Washington was a little too thrilling for a Cape Town neighborhood that has experienced gang violence.  Callers to talk radio said they feared gang fights had returned to the township when they heard the sounds of automatic gunfire overnight.

Denis Lillie, head of the Cape Film Commission, said Tuesday the producers had been authorized to film a sequence involving car chases and the firing of blanks, and had informed residents in the immediate neighborhood. But he says the sound carried further than expected.

Lillie says the Cape Town community is getting "used to the fact that people want to film here."  The movie, "Safe House," is described as a crime thriller.

First Look at Beyoncé’s New Music Video "Girl"

Beyonce  is set to “end careers” this era. Or at least, that’s what her stans would have us believe. The ‘Single Ladies’ songstress was snapped on the set of her upcoming music video for her new single. The track is reportedly titled ‘Girl’, which is rumoured to premiere before the end of the month.

In the first images from the set, the sexy superstar rocks a blonde Pompadour and white Givenchy couture gown while filming scenes in the California desert with director Francis Lawrence (Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”).

Also Beyonce’s 2006 dance anthem “Get Me Bodied” will provide the soundtrack for First Lady Michelle Obama’s anti-childhood obesity campaign.   Peep message below:

Rihanna & Britney debut ‘S&M’ remix

Rihanna‘s remix of ‘S&M’ featuring Britney Spears has finally made its online debut!

Britney did not add anything spectacular to the sassy dance-pop number. Their vocals failed to mesh well and putting Britney’s vocals next to Rihanna’s just further magnifies her flaw as a really weak singer (especially in that newly added verse). Rihanna practically outshone her in that department! It just seems this was randomly put together as one fat publicity stunt. Should have used Luda.

Sherri Shepherd Discuss Wedding Honeymoon Options

Excitement is in the air as the date of her August wedding draws closer, 30 Rock star and The View co-host Sherri Shepherd says she is looking forward to married life – as well as her wedding cake and honeymoon destination.

"I've got a really great friend," Shepherd, while she was at Monday's Steve Harvey Foundation Gala, told PEOPLE about husband-to-be Lamar Sally.  "He keeps me laughing all the time," she says. "I think laughter is No. 1. He's silly and I'm silly, I think that's a great match."   Another top priority for Shepherd? A red velvet wedding cake. "I love anything red velvet," she says.

While the type of cake has been decided, what hasn't been is the location for Shepherd and Sally's honeymoon. "We're looking at Thailand or somewhere over in Europe," says Shepherd, who likes a beach. "We want to go somewhere exotic."

For the ceremony, Shepherd, 43, has been practicing with her son, Jeffrey, who will turn 6 this month – and who will be the one who'll escort her down the aisle.

Says Shepherd: "I'm just teaching him how to walk down slowly, instead of running, and I'm just going to ask him, please don't say, 'Mommy, I gotta pee.' Can you just hold it for 45 minutes?" it seems Jeffrey has ideas of his own.

"The other day he said to Sal, 'I want to be mommy's husband. I want you to be the son. Mommy, I'm going to get you a ring,'" Shepherd says. "I was like, 'Unless you're bringing in a paycheck, that's not going to work for mommy.' "
